Remove the mass storage device: 1. Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×2.83 screws that secure the mass storage device to the computer. 2. Use the tab (1) to slide the mass storage device to the right and disconnect it from the system board. 3. 5. Remove the mass storage device bracket (2). The mass storage device bracket and screws are included in the Hard Drive Hardware Kit, spare part number 608373-001. NOTE: Select computer models are equipped with an mSATA solid-state drive. This drive is located beneath the hard drive. the terminals on the WLAN module. NOTE: The 1/black WLAN antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module 1/Main/Tr1 terminal. The 2/gray WLAN antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module 2/Aux/Tr2 terminal. If a 3/yellow antenna cable is present, it is connected to the 3/Tr3 terminal. 5. 6. Remove the WLAN module by pulling the module away from the slot at an angle. NOTE: If the WLAN antennas are not connected to the terminals on the WLAN module, the protective sleeves must be installed on the antenna connectors, as shown in the following illustration. 5. Open the computer as far as it will open. 6. Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×2.82 screws (1) that secure the optical drive to the base enclosure. 7. Remove the optical drive (2). 8. If it is necessary to replace the optical drive retention rails: a.
