You also need:
A twisted-pair network cable with RJ-45 connectors (not included).
Two power outlets.
An IP address, subnet mask, and, optionally, the default gateway
(router). Configure them using DHCP or BOOTP, or manually at the
server control panel. See your IP administrator for this information.
When the control panel prompts you (first two messages at left), do one of the following:
To set the IP settings using DHCP or BOOTP, press
.

To set the IP settings manually at the control panel, follow these steps:
1.
Press
. The third message at left appears, with the first 0 blinking.
2.
Enter the IP address.
Use
▲▼
to change the blinking number, and press
to select a
number and move to the next space. (Use
to move to a previous space.) Once you set
the last number, press
to accept the new IP address.
3.
Enter the subnet mask.
Press
. To change the subnet mask, press
and enter a new
one the same way you entered the IP address. When finished, press
.
4.
Enter the default gateway .
Press
. To change the default gateway, press
and enter
a new one the same way you entered the IP address. When finished, press
.
5. Press
to exit setup mode, and then press
to confirm.
Connect the network cable
On the back of the server, attach
the network cable between the
server and the network connector
at the wall.
Plug in power cords

Caution!
Ensure that the
voltage switches are set
correctly for your country.
2. Plug the two power cords into
the back of the server, and
then plug the other ends of
the cords into the power
outlets.
Caution!
If you need different power
cords than the ones supplied,
use power cords approved for
your country. See chapter 3 in
the
User's Guide
.
