Priority Packet is available on the HP NetServer 10/100TX PCI LAN Adapter Drivers CD in the \Priority Packet directory. Check your hub or switch documentation to see if it supports 802.1p. (You can configure the switch to strip the tags - HP LH6000r | HP Netserver 10/100TX PCI LAN Adapter Guide - Page 28
Installing Drivers The requirements for effectively using IEEE 802.1p tagging are: • The other devices receiving and routing 802.1p tagged packets must support 802.1p. • The adapters on these devices must support 802.1p (adapters using the 82558 or later Ethernet controller). , the adapter runs at full duplex. If the full duplex switch does not provide auto-negotiation, you need to set the adapter duplex mode manually (see the following sections), because it defaults to half duplex. • Half duplex. The adapter performs one operation at a time; it either sends or receives - HP LH6000r | HP Netserver 10/100TX PCI LAN Adapter Guide - Page 32
your part. However, many currently installed switches do not support auto-negotiation. Check with your network system administrator to verify whether your switch supports this feature.
