Are you experiencing marks on the media? Or maybe banding?
With this document we would like to explain a few tips & tricks we hope will help
you when you encounter Image quality problems.
Loading paper or creating a customer paper
The most important thing when loading media or creating custom media is you
must select the correct media settings. When you load the media, you also select
the media type you are loading. When you do this, you are actually selecting a lot
of different settings, such as paper advance, ink limiting, carriage height and so
on.
One important thing is that,
if you select a different paper type in the
driver, this will override the selection you made when physically
loading the media
. This means that you have to make sure that you always
have the right paper selected in the driver.
The same occurs when you create a new paper type. In there, you are also asked
to select the paper type most similar to your custom paper. When you do so, you
are selecting a set of paper settings that may impact the performance of your
custom paper.
