Configuration Changes
1. Up to 3 hard drives can be installed in the hp 9000 rp3410 Server.
2. The hp 9000 rp3440 Server is now available in 1-way, 2-way, and 4-way configurations.
3. The 900 MHz processor is no longer available for installation in the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers.
3. A 1 GHz processor is now available for installation in hp 9000 rp3440 Servers.
Power Switch Description
Power switch operation was incorrectly described in some hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Server documentation. The
Power switch controls system power, but the direct effect of pressing the Power switch varies, depending on the
operating state of the server and on the duration of the switch press (how long the switch is held in). Refer to the

for complete information.
Power Supply Specifications
Documentation and some of the guides for the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers incorrectly report the power supply
output power. The standard power supply for the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers provides up to 650 watts output
power.
Memory Limitations
Documentation and guides for the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers suggest that dissimilar pairs of DIMMs may be
installed within a single quad. While dissimilar DIMMs may be installed in the server (different quads), all DIMMs
within a memory quad must be identical.
AGP Support
Documentation and User Guides for the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers erroneously report that AGP support is
provided. HP does not support AGP functions in the hp 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 Servers.
Dual Serial Controller
