Proper Disposal of Waste Batteries
Some of the substances necessary for the proper functioning
of batteries are considered harmful to the environment and to
human health. It is therefore important that those substances be
kept out of the environment.
You play an important role in the protection of the environment:
1.
Keep all waste batteries out of unsorted trash.
2.
Dispose of all waste batteries in separate collection for
treatment and recycling.
Please contact Intermec for the collection option(s) available in
your location.
Marking of the battery:
3.
The wheeled-bin symbol indicates the requirement for
separate collection of the battery.
4.
Two letters shown underneath the wheeled bin indicate the
presence of a certain substance:
a.
Hg means Mercury is present
b.
Cd means Cadmium is present
c.
Pb means Lead is present
5.
The Moebius loop (chasing arrows) indicates that the battery
is recyclable.
