CONNECTING TO A CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET To connect the transceiver to the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle, use an optional PG-3J Cigarette Lighter cable. ADJUSTING THE SQUELCH Squelch is used to mute the speaker when no signals are present. With the squelch level set correctly, you will hear sound only while actually receiving a signal.
