FOR USE WITH RY40807 RYOBI SNOW BLOWER ONLY

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of injury, user must read and understand the operator’s

manual for their snow blower and this instruction sheet. Always wear eye

protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Ensure

compatibility and fit before using this accessory. Do not use this accessory

if a part is damaged or missing. If you are not comfortable performing

any of the functions described in these instructions, take your unit to a

qualfied service center.

WARNING:

Before performing any maintenance, make sure the snow blower battery is

removed to avoid accidental starting and possible serious personal injury.

REPLACING SHEAR PINS

See Figure 1.

Shear pins are located on the auger shaft and below the impeller. The pins

should be replaced when worn or damaged. Damaged shear pins may prevent

the auger from turning while the motor is running.

To replace the shear pins:

Determine which of the six shear pins is damaged.

Using a pair of pliers, remove the damaged shear pin.

Insert the new shear pin into the hole.

NOTE:

If necessary, use a rubber mallet to tap the shear pin into place.

Install nut and tighten securely.
