USING THE CORD REEL
See Figures 2 and 3.
To extend the cord reel, grasp the cord itself and pull
downward.
To retract the cord reel, pull down, then release gently
and allow the cord to rewind itself onto the reel. Do not
allow the cord to snap back into place.
WARNING:
Do not allow the cord to retract quickly, which can cause
it to snap back or swing and cause serious personal
injury or property damage.
To use the cord stop, extend the cord to the desired
length. Push the cord stop up or down to keep the cord
from rewinding past the stop.
NOTICE:
The cord can be extended up to 30 feet. The end of the
cord has been marked to indicate that the cord is nearly
fully extended. When the yellow marker is visible, only
2 feet of cord remain. When the red marker is visible,
only 1 foot remains. Do not continue to pull the cord,
which can damage the cord reel.
NOTE:
The two AC outputs of the RYOBI Garage Door
Opener have a maximum combined power capacity of 10
Amps. If the accessories connected to the two AC recep-
tacles total more than 10 Amps, the circuit breaker will be
tripped. If this occurs, press the reset button.
If the AC cord reel is not working, it may indicate that GFCI
is tripped. To reset the GFCI, remove all attached accesso-
ries and press the reset button on the console. If power to
the garage door opener fluctuates, this may trip the GFCI.
Remove both accessory port covers on the side where
you will install the accessory.
Attach the accessory to the top of the garage door
opener by inserting the hooks on the accessory into the
slots on the accessory port. Ensure the bottom latch on
the accessory is secured to the port on the garage door
opener.
NOTE:
When the cord reel is installed, the LED light on
the 3-conductor cord will come on.
WARNING:
Always deactivate accessory ports when you are assem-
bling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not
in use. Deactivating accessory ports will prevent acci-
dental starting that could cause serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible
serious injury.
