checklist Remember to save your sales receipt and original packaging in case you ever need to ship your telephone for warranty service. Check to make sure the telephone package includes the following: Telephone handset Belt clip SPEAKER VOLUME Battery pack Handset charger 1 Power adapter - Vtech EP590-2 | User Manual - Page 4
rechargeable battery (model 102) or AT&T replacement battery model 103. The cordless handset is powered by a rechargeable battery pack. It charges automatically whenever the handset is in its charger. You should charge the battery pack for at least 10-12 hours when you first receive your phone - Vtech EP590-2 | User Manual - Page 5
select OK. The handset provided with your EP5962 telephone is automatically registered as Handset 1. Additional handsets will be assigned numbers in the order they are registered (2, 3, 4, etc.) up to a maximum of eight. 7:21 PM Page 4 Replacing a handset If you are replacing a handset on a system that has the maximum number of registered handsets (8) or wish to change the assigned handset number of your registered handset, you must first deregister all handsets and then re-register all handsets. deregistration from the base. Or you can re-register handsets to a new base unit if you have replaced your base unit for any reason. During re-registration, you must enter the 15-digit ID number of the telephone base. To find this number, go to the base, select MENU, scroll down to DISPLAY - Vtech EP590-2 | User Manual - Page 8
PM Page 6 Belt clip & optional headset Install belt clip as shown below if desired. For hands-free telephone conversations, you can use any industry standard 2.5 mm headset (purchased separately).
