In Brief 1-17 Parking Assist If equipped, Rear Parking Assist (RPA) uses sensors on the rear bumper to assist with parking and avoiding objects while in R (Reverse). It operates at speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph). RPA may display a warning triangle on the Rear Vision Camera screen and a graphic on the instrument cluster to provide the object distance. In addition, multiple beeps may occur if very close to an object. The vehicle may also have the Front Parking Assist system. See Assistance Systems for Parking or Backing on page 9-49. Active Emergency Braking System If the vehicle has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) it also has the Active Emergency Braking System, which includes Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) and the Automatic Collision Preparation (ACP) System. These systems can provide a boost to braking or automatically brake the vehicle to help avoid or lessen the severity of crashes when driving in a forward gear. See Active Emergency Braking System on page 9-54. Power Outlets The accessory power outlet can be used to plug in electrical equipment, such as a cell phone or MP3 player. There are two 12-volt accessory power outlets located: . On the center stack next to the ashtray. Inside the center console. . The outlet is powered when the ignition is in ON/RUN or ACC/ ACCESSORY, or until the driver door is opened within 10 minutes of turning off the vehicle. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP) on page 9-23. Open the protective cover to use the accessory power outlet. See Power Outlets on page 5-5.
