Fog Lamps - (Fog Lamps): If your vehicle is equipped with fog lamps, it is located on the exterior lamps control. The exterior lamps control is located on the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. Your ignition must be in RUN for the fog lamps to illuminate. To turn the fog lamps on, press exterior lamps button. A light will come on in the button to let you know that the fog lamps are on. Press the exterior lamps button again to turn the fog lamps off. The ignition must be in RUN and the parking lamps must be on for your fog lamps to work. Parking lamps will turn on automatically when you turn on the fog lamps. The fog lamps will go off while you change to high-beam headlamps. The fog lamps will need to be turned on each time the ignition is turned off and back on again. Some localities have laws that require the headlamps to be on along with the fog lamps. Instrument Panel Brightness D (Instrument Panel Brightness): This feature controls the brightness of the instrument panel lights. The knob for this control is located next to the exterior lamps control and between the traction control button and the trunk release button. Push and pull the knob out halfway and turn the knob clockwise for brightness of the instrument panel lights and counter clockwise to turn the brightness down. Turning the knob completely clockwise to the detente will turn on the courtesy lamps. Courtesy Lamps When any door is opened, several lamps come on. These lamps are courtesy lamps. They make it easy for you to enter and leave your vehicle. You can also turn these lamps on by turning the instrument panel brightness control all the way clockwise. Dome Lamp If your vehicle has this feature, the dome lamp will come on when you open a door. You can also turn this lamp on by turning the instrument panel brightness control clockwise as far as it will go. 3-15
