Do not attempt to attach additional speakers to your Adrenalin Edition Audio System, as this may result in damage to the system. Prolonged exposure to excessive sound levels can cause hearing damage. Play the system at a safe level without annoying blaring or distortion and without affecting your sensitive hearing. Since the amplifier surface (behind the rear seat back trim panel) dissipates heat during operation, keep your hands away from the amplifier surface. This audio system is covered by the Ford Motor Company NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY and can be serviced by any Ford Motor Company dealership. Tampering with any component of this system may invalidate warranty coverage. For complete warranty information, see the Warranty Guide included with your vehicle. Audiophile System Your Explorer Sport Trac is equipped with the Adrenalin Edition Audio System. This powerful system includes a dual media (cassette and CD) in-dash audio system with an internal amplifier to power the custom rear door speakers. The 8-inch subwoofer speaker is in a 12 litre enclosure under the split fold rear seat.* This system also contains a high performance, 4 channel amplifier to power the subwoofer and front speakers. The system will produce a maximum of 485 watts of power. * Owners should note that the 40% rear seat (behind the driver) will not fold flat due to the subwoofer enclosure located beneath the seat. CAUTIONS WARNINGS An odor may be present when the system is used at high volume levels until the amplifier completes a break-in-period. The subwoofer enclosure (including speaker and amplifier) is made from strong high-density polyethylene plastic. This enclosure should not come in contact with any type of moisture. Operating the audio system at high volume levels for approximately two to three hours with the engine off may discharge the battery to a "no-start" condition. A D AR . .
