NOTICE: Damage to your engine from neglected oil problems can be costly andis not covered by your warranty. Fuel Gage 112 The fuel gage tells you about how much fuel you have remaining when the ignition is on. When the gage first indicates empty, you still have a little fuel left, but you should get more fuel soon. Here are fourthings that some owners ask about. None of these show a problem with your fuel gage: 0 At the gas station, the gas pump shuts off before the gage reads full. It takes a little moreor less fuel to fill up than thegage indicated. For example, the gage may have indicatedthe tank was half full, but it actually took a little more or less than half the tank's capacityto fill the tank. 0 The gage moves a little whenyou turn a comer or speed up. The gage doesn't go back to empty when you turn off the ignition. For your fuel tank capacity, see the Index under"Fluid Capacities.'' 2-78
