1-2. Opening, closing and locking the doors n If the back door opener is inoperative The back door can be operated from the inside. STEP 1 Remove the cover. STEP 2 Turn the lever. n The power back door can be opened when l The "ENGINE START STOP" switch is in IGNITION ON mode, and the shift lever is in P. l The "ENGINE START STOP" switch is in OFF or in ACCESSORY mode. The power back door can be opened even when the glass hatch is opened. The glass hatch will not be closed when the power back door is being closed. Close the glass hatch manually. n Jam protection function (vehicles with power back door) If anything obstructs the power back door while it is closing/opening, the back door will automatically operate in the opposite direction. 74
