2.10 Onboard Headers and Connectors Onboard headers and connectors are NOT jumpers. Do NOT place jumper caps over these headers and connectors. Placing jumper caps over the headers and connectors will cause permanent damage of the motherboard! The current SATA interface allows up to 1.5 Gb/s data transfer rate. This Serial ATA II (SATA II) connector supports SATA II data cables for internal storage devices. The current SATA II interface allows up to 3.0 Gb/s data transfer rate. It is recommended to plug SATAII HDD to SATAII connector and connect SATAI HDD to SATAI connector. Serial ATA (SATA) Data Cable Either end of the SATA data cable can be connected to the SATA hard disk or the SATA connector on the motherboard. 19
