54 5 System utilities To activate Acer eLock, a password must be set first. Once set, you may apply locks to any of the three kinds of devices. The lock will immediately be set without any reboot necessary. If the password you set is empty, eLock will reset back to the initial status with all locks removed. Note: If you lose your password, there is no method to reset password except by reformatting your computer or taking your PC to an Acer service center.
