There are three available modes - IDE, SATA or AHCI and RAID. Options RAID, SATA or AHCI, IDE When set to SATA or AHCI, the SATA controller enables its AHCI features when the computer boots up. When set to RAID, the SATA controller enables its RAID and AHCI functions when the computer boots up.
