1.7 System memory 1.7.1 Overview The motherboard comes with two 184-pin Double Data Rate (DDR) Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets. The following figure illustrates the location of the sockets: R A8V-VM ULTRA A8V-VM ULTRA 184-pin DDR DIMM Sockets Channel Channel A Channel B Sockets DIMM_A1 DIMM_B1 1.7.2 Memory configurations You may install 64MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 2 GB unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDR DIMMs into the DIMM sockets using the memory configuration in this section. • For dual-channel configuration, the size of memory module installed per channel must be the same (DIMM_A1= DIMM_B1) • Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, it is recommended that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor. 1.².1 Overview
The motherboard comes with two 184-pin Double Data Rate (DDR) Dual
Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets.
The following figure illustrates the location of the sockets:

For dual-channel configuration, the size of memory module installed
per channel must be the same (DIMM_A1= DIMM_B1)
