There are two possible scenarios in
Auto Mode
:
1.
By default, PCIEX4_1 slot runs at x2 mode, M.2 slot and mPCIe slot both runs at
x1 mode.
2.
When PCIe x4 slot detects a x4 device, the bandwidth will be switched to PCIe
x4 slot for better performance. M.2 and mPCIe slot are disabled.
In
mPCIe X1 Mode
, the PCIEX4_1 slot runs at x2 mode.
M.2 slot and mPCIe slot
both runs at x1 mode.
In
M.2 Mode
, the PCIEX4_1 and M.2 slot both runs at x2 mode. mPCIe is
disabled.
In
PCIe X4 Mode
, the PCIEX4_1 slot runs at x4 mode. M.2 and mPCIe slot are both
disabled.
To configure the PCIEX4_1 slot bandwidth option in BIOS, refer to the
Onboard
Devices Configuration
section
on the
BIOS Setup
chapter
.
Location on motherboard
Refer to the illustration below for the physical location of the M.2, PCIeX4_1, and mPCIe slot.
