Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] 4.3.4 SATA Configuration The items in this menu allow you to set or change the configurations for the SATA devices installed in the system. Select an item then press if you wish to configure the item. SATA Configuration OnChip SATA Channel SATA Port1-Port4 SATA Port5-Port6 [Enabled] [IDE] [IDE] Options Disabled Enabled OnChip SATA Channel [Enabled] Enables or disables the onboard channel SATA port. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] SATA Port1 - Port4 [IDE] Configures SATA 1/2/3/4. Configuration options: [IDE] [RAID] [AHCI] SATA Port5 - Port6 [IDE] Configures SATA 5/6. Configuration options: [IDE] [RAID] [AHCI] • When SATA 1/2/3/4 are configured as [IDE], SATA 5/6 can only be configured as [IDE]. • When SATA 1/2/3/4/5/6 are configured as [AHCI], only SATA 1/2/3/4 can be detected under OS. Ensure to install the AHCI driver, so that you can use SATA 1/2/3/4/5/6 in AHCI mode under OS. • When SATA 1/2/3/4 are configured as [AHCI] and SATA 5/6 are configured as [IDE], you can access the devices on SATA 5/6 before entering OS. 4-12 Chapter 4: BIOS setup
