4 Set the document in the scanner with the back of the document facing forward and its top edge facing downwards. The document is scanned as it is detected. IMPORTANT • When scanning documents that are fastened together, such as invoices, set the edge that is fastened together as the leading edge. • After you finish scanning, close the Document Feed Tray and the Upper Cover to prevent damage to the scanner while it is not being used.
