C Never store the IS-22 Color Image Scanner Cartridge in an Ink Cartridge Storage Box that has been used for a BJ cartridge. The pad in the storage box where the head of a BJ cartridge rests is covered with ink that will damage the scanning head of the IS-22 Color Image Scanner Cartridge. Be sure to replace the BJ cartridge in the printer after you remove the scanner cartridge. Also, be sure to set the paper thickness lever for the type of media you will be using.
