Macintosh 1. Make sure the printer is switched on, then load a sheet of plain paper in the printer. Reference • Loading plain paper or High Resolution Paper HR-101 (P.43) 2. In the software application from the File menu, select Page Setup. Memo • The procedure you use to open the printer driver may differ slightly, depending on the software application that you are using. 3. Click the Utilities button. 4. Click the down-arrow to select Test Print. Click! 5. Click the (Nozzle Check Pattern) icon. Memo • To print a nozzle check pattern with the printer operation panel, press down and hold the RESUME button until you hear two beeps then release it. 6. Read the message and click OK. The nozzle check pattern starts printing. 7. Check the nozzle check pattern. 1 • If part of pattern 1 is missing, clean the print head. 2 • If pattern 2 is not smooth, or if pattern 3 is streaked vertically 3 with white, align the print head. • Cleaning the print head (P.70) Reference • Aligning the print head (P.62) A printout is unclear, faded Click!
