Items You Can Place & How to Place Items The position to place an item may vary depending on the item to be scanned. Place the item in the correct position according to the item to be scanned. If you do not place the item correctly, it may not be scanned correctly. The items you can place on the platen are as follows. Portions placed on the diagonally striped area cannot be scanned. Important • Portions placed over (A) (0.094 inch (2.4 mm) from the left edge of the platen) or (B) (0.106 inch (2.7 mm) from the front edge) cannot be scanned. 23
