Dialing an Overseas Number (With Pauses) When you dial or register an overseas number, you may need to insert a pause within the number. 1 Place the document on the platen glass or load it in the ADF ➞ press [FAX]. For details on the types of documents you can fax, their requirements, and how to 4 place or load documents, see Chapter 3, "Document Handling," in the Basic Guide. NOTE If sending an A5-size document, align it with the A4-size marks on the platen glass, or adjust the slide guides to the A4 width and load the document in the ADF. Otherwise, the recipient will not receive the whole document. Sending Faxes 2 Adjust any necessary settings for your document. • Press [Image Quality] to select the fax resolution.
