VIEWING IMAGES ON A COMPUTER I USB Connection Precautions • Do not leave the same image displayed on your computer screen for a long time. Doing so can cause the image to "burn in" on the screen. • Never disconnect the USB cable, or perform any camera or USB cradle operation while data communication is in progress. Doing so can cause data to become corrupted. Using a Memory Card to Transfer Images to a Computer The procedures in this section describe how to transfer images from the camera to your computer using a memory card. Using a Computer with a Built-in SD Memory Card Slot Insert the SD memory card directly into the slot. Using a Computer with a Built-in PC Card Slot Use a commercially available PC card adaptor (for an SD memory card or MMC). For full details, see the user documentation that comes with the PC card adaptor and your computer. 198
