open the battery cover, disconnect the AC adaptor from the camera, or unplug the AC adaptor from the wall socket while an image is being recorded. INTRODUCTION I Data Error Precautions • Your digital camera is manufactured using precision digital components. An error can be caused by any of the following: a problem with the USB cradle, a problem with the camera, or a problem with the battery or how it is loaded. GETTING READY Using the On-screen Menus Pressing [MENU] displays menus on the monitor screen that you can use to perform various operations. BASIC IMAGE RECORDING Digital Zoom Digital zoom digitally enlarges the part of the image at the center of the image screen. The range of digital zoom is 3X to 12X (in combination with optical zoom). BASIC IMAGE RECORDING Using the Flash Perform the following steps to select the flash mode you want to use. • The approximate effective range of the flash is shown below. BASIC IMAGE RECORDING Specifying Image Size "Image size" is the size of the image, expressed as the number of vertical and horizontal pixels. A "pixel" is one of the many tiny dots that make up the image. More pixels provide finer detail when an image is printed, but a higher pixel count also causes - Casio EX-Z600BE | Owners Manual - Page 71

RECORDING FUNCTIONS Selecting the Focus Mode You can select one of five different focus modes: Auto Focus, Macro, Pan Focus, Infinity, and Manual Focus. • The exposure compensation Focus mode indicator value is displayed on the monitor screen. 1. OTHER RECORDING FUNCTIONS Using Auto Focus As its name suggests, Auto Focus focuses the image automatically. The automatic focus operation starts when you press the shutter button down half way. OTHER RECORDING FUNCTIONS Using Pan Focus Pan Focus comes in handy when recording under conditions where Auto Focus is difficult for some reason, or in cases where Auto Focus operation noise is too noticeable in the movie audio. 1.
