TO SILENTLY Press button 3 (channel 3). Your IntelliGuard 800 system will ARM OR DISARM arm or disarm with all the indications noted on the previous page THE SYSTEM except for the chirp acknowledgments. TO REMOTELY TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS (OR OTHER TIMED OPTION) . . . . Button 2 (channel 2) controls an electronic interlock that allows you to separately command two different options with the same channel: one when the system is armed and another when it is disarmed. Pressing remote control button 2 while the alarm is armed will activate the system's built-in timer circuit. This output is primarily used to optionally activate the headlights for any duration of your choosing between 1 second and 2.5 minutes (the timer is factory preset to 30 seconds; see User-selectable features on pages 20-22). TO REMOTELY OPEN THE TRUNK . . . As noted above, button 2 (channel 2) can control yet another function when the system is disarmed. Usually, this is an optional remote trunk release. Thus, pressing button 2 while the alarm is disarmed will remotely open the trunk (NOTE: to ensure against accidental activation of the trunk release while driving, the electronic interlock will prevent remote activation of the trunk release while the ignition is on). Clifford's AntiScan will detect any scanner and block the codes it generates. 10
