USB CONNECTIONS USB Driver Installation (Windows 98SE Only) It is not necessary to install the USB driver if your computer is running Microsoft Windows ME/2000/XP or newer, or Macintosh OS X. Computers running these operating systems will recognize your player automatically when connected. If your computer is running Windows 98 SE, please download and install the driver from the COBY website: www.cobyusa.com. USB Mode (MSC/MTP) The MP-C546 can use either USB-Mass Storage Class (USB-MSC) mode or USB-Media Transfer Protocol (USB-MTP) mode to connect to your computer. Both USB modes allow for simple, high-speed transfers of files between your player and a computer, and allow you to use your computer's operating system to view, manage, and transfer files to your player from your computer There are, however, a few differences to take note of. www.cobyusa.com Page 29

USB Driver Installation (Windows 98SE Only)
It is not necessary to install the USB driver if your
computer is running Microsoft Windows ME/2000/XP
or newer, or Macintosh OS X. Computers running these
operating systems will recognize your player automati-

USB Mode (MSC/MTP)
The MP-C546 can use either
USB-Mass Storage Class
(USB-MSC)
mode or
USB-Media Transfer Protocol
(USB-MTP)
mode to connect to your computer. Both
USB modes allow for simple, high-speed transfers of files
between your player and a computer, and allow you to
use your computer’s operating system to view, manage,
and transfer files to your player from your computer
There are, however, a few differences to take note of.
