It is necessary to remove only the parts listed in the written procedure. To remove the display panel assembly, complete the following steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (pg 10). 2. Remove the palmrest cover with TouchPad (pg 13). 3. Remove the keyboard (pg 15). 4. Remove the heatspreader (pg 17). 5. Disconnect the backlight cable attached to the display panel assembly from the connector on the system board. Continued on next page. To remove the display panel assembly, complete the following steps:
