Exceptions, if any, will be specified. TOOLS NEEDED: Safety glasses, leather gloves, wire cutters. 1. Remove the upper crating material from the shipping pallet, and cut any bands or tie straps securing the tractor to the pallet. 3. The two hydrostatic transmissions are equipped with a bypass valve that will allow you to manually move the tractor short distances. 4. Engage the transmission bypass valves on each side of the tractor by moving both levers to the left. The transmission bypass valves (one for each the RH and LH transmission) are located under the tractor on the front of each transmission inside the rear wheels. See Fig. 3-2. 2. Use the deck lift pedal to raise the deck to its highest position and secure in place with the clevis pin attached to the tractor. See Fig. 3-1. Deck Lift Pedal Figure 3-1 Clevis Pin Figure 3-2 WARNING! Do not tow the tractor, even with the bypass valves engaged. Serious transmission damage will result from doing so. 5. Then carefully roll the tractor off the shipping pallet. 6. Rotate the levers to the right of the tractor to disengage the transmission bypass valves. 7. Remove the deck wash system nozzle adapter from the manual bag and store for future use. Cut the wire tie holding the chute deflector up and discard any packing material. 11
