DES-3226S Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide Initialize Ports Use this to initialize the 802.1x functions on a specified ports or for specified MAC addresses operating from a specified range of ports. Figure 6 - 77. Initialize Ports Parameter Port Configure Ports from __ to __ MAC Address Description Select the port or lowest number of the group of ports being configured. A consecutive group of ports may be configured starting with the selected port. Specify the MAC address to add to the list for MAC based 802.1x initialization. Click the option box to insert a check mark before typing in the MAC address. This option can only be used if the authorization is MAC-based (see 802.1 State). Re-Authenticate Ports 802.1x ports must be periodically re-authenticated (when the re-authentication period lapses). Use this menu to determine if previously authenticated devices are re-authenticated based on either MAC address or port number. Figure 6 - 78.
