Using the Configuration Menu Home > DHCP DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Control Protocol. The DI-614+ has a built-in DHCP server. The DHCP Server will automatically assign an IP address to the computers on the LAN/private network. Be sure to set your computers to be DHCP clients by setting their TCP/IP settings to "Obtain an IP Address Automatically." When you turn your computers on, they will automatically load the proper TCP/IP settings provided by the DI-614+. The DHCP Server will automatically allocate an unused IP address from the IP address pool to the requesting computer. You must specify the starting and ending address of the IP address pool. DHCP Server Enable or disable the DHCP service. Starting IP Address Ending IP Address Lease Time The starting IP address for the DHCP server's IP assignment. The ending IP address for the DHCP server's IP assignment. The length of time for the DHCP lease. Static DHCP Name MAC Address DHCP Client Used to allow the DHCP server to assign the same IP adress to a specific MAC address. Enter the name, IP address, and MAC address into the fields. Select which DHCP client to clone. The name to be used to reference the specific static DHCP client. The MAC address of the static DHCP client. Drop down list of all currently connected DHCP clients. DHCP Clients List Lists the DHCP clients connected to the DI-614+. Click Refresh to update the list. The table will show the Host Name, IP Address, and MAC Address of the DHCP client computer. 24

Using the Configuration Menu
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host
Control Protocol. The DI-614+
has a built-in DHCP server. The
DHCP Server will automatically
assign an IP address to the
computers on the LAN/private
network. Be sure to set your
computers to be DHCP clients
by setting their TCP/IP settings
to “Obtain an IP Address
Automatically.” When you turn

the DI-614+. The DHCP Server

Lease Time
The length of time for the DHCP lease.
DHCP Clients List
Lists the DHCP clients connected to the DI-614+. Click
Refresh
to update the list. The table will show the Host Name, IP Address,
and MAC Address of the DHCP client computer.
Enable or disable the DHCP service.
DHCP Server
Ending IP Address
The ending IP address for the DHCP server’s IP assignment.
Starting IP Address
The starting IP address for the DHCP server’s IP assignment.
Static DHCP
Used to allow the DHCP server to assign the same IP adress to
a specific MAC address. Enter the name, IP address, and MAC
address into the fields. Select which DHCP client to clone.
Name
The name to be used to reference the specific static DHCP
client.
MAC Address
The MAC address of the static DHCP client.
DHCP Client
Drop down list of all currently connected DHCP clients.
