Defining WLAN Defining WLAN Access Points Defining WLAN Access Point Properties The WLAN Access Point Properties Page displays information regarding the currently configured WLAN stations, including the SSID, the access point MAC address, the current access point status, and the discovery time. Ensure that the Wireless Controller Software (WCS) has been activated. To view the WLAN access point properties: 1. Click WLAN > Access Point > Properties. The WLAN Access Point Properties Page opens: Figure 92: WLAN Access Point Properties Page The WLAN Access Point Properties Page contains the following fields: • Name - Displays the user-defined access point name. • MAC Address - Displays the MAC Address assigned to the access point. • IP Address - Displays the IP Address assigned to the access point. • Admin Status - Displays the selected access point's administration status. The possible field values are: - Active - Indicates that the access point is curently active. - Not Active - Indicates that the AP has not been accessed. • Current Status - Displays the selected access point transceiver's status. The possible field values are: - Discovered - Indicates that the access point was discovered, but was not activated by the user. - Activating - Indicates the access point is currently being activated. - Initializing - Indicates the access point transceiver's is currently active. - Error - Indicates that a error has occurred at the access point link. - No Connection - Indicates that there is not currently a connection with the access point. • Reset - Resets WLAN access points. Name
