Using Odyssey Client Odyssey is a wireless LAN access control and security solution that provides strong security over the wireless link. It secures authentication and connection of wireless LAN (WLAN) users, ensuring that only authorized users can connect. Odyssey is mostly used in place of a manufacturer's wireless networking client such as the Dell WLAN utility, Intel ProSET, or Windows XP's Zero Config Service. To use Odyssey: • Tap Start → Settings → Connections Tab → Odyssey Client. The main page appears with the following information: • Status of Odyssey • Network Name (SSID) • Access Point MAC • Packet information • To enable the Odyssey Client tap Settings → Enable Odyssey. • To configure a wireless profile, tap Settings → Configure. This provides you a list of existing profiles and allows you to add, edit, or delete profiles. Adding a Network To add a new profile: 1 Tap Settings → Configure → Add. The Add Network Wizard window appears. 2 Enter the network name, or select the box Any if you want the client to connect to any available network. 3 Tap Scan to view all available broadcasted networks. Enter a description if necessary. 4 Select between an ad-hoc or infrastructure network. 5 Tap Next when ready. 96 Getting Connected

Getting Connected
Using Odyssey Client
Odyssey is a wireless LAN access control and security solution that
provides strong security over the wireless link. It secures authentication
and connection of wireless LAN (WLAN) users, ensuring that only
authorized users can connect.
Odyssey is mostly used in place of a manufacturer’s wireless networking
client such as the Dell WLAN utility, Intel ProSET, or Windows XP’s Zero
Config Service.
To use Odyssey:
Tap
Start
Settings
Connections Tab
Odyssey Client.
The main page appears with the following information:
Status of Odyssey
Network Name (SSID)
Access Point MAC
Packet information
To enable the Odyssey Client tap
Settings
Enable Odyssey.
To configure a wireless profile, tap
Settings
Configure.
This
provides you a list of existing profiles and allows you to add, edit, or
delete profiles.
Adding a Network
To add a new profile:

Add.
The
