Using the Dell Latitude C400 High-Capacity Battery Pack The Dell Latitude C400 high-capacity battery pack attaches to the underside of the computer, replacing the internal battery and forming a new base for the computer. The high-capacity battery pack supplies approximately 7 hours of continuous running time (depending on usage) and can be recharged separately from the computer, using its own AC adapter. Battery Performance Battery performance varies depending on battery size, operating system, and system activity. Operating time can be reduced when you run powerintensive programs and when you use CD, DVD, or similar drives; PC Cards or Mini PCI cards; and high display-brightness settings. You can check the battery charge before you insert the battery into the computer. You can also set power management options to alert you when the battery charge is low. CAUTION: The high-capacity lithium-polymer battery pack is designed to work with your Dell Latitude C400 computer.Using an incompatible battery may increase the risk of fire or explosion. Replace this battery only with a compatible battery purchased from Dell. CAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.
