BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Oven vent location The oven vent is located under the left side of the control panel (See Fig. 1). When the oven is heating, warm air passes through this vent. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven which helps to provide good baking results. Do not block the oven vent. oven vent location Oven rack stop Most oven racks slide on rack guides provided along the oven cavity sides. The rack guides are curved near the front of each guide. The curve will catch and hold the oven rack stable into a stop position when an oven rack is extended straight out from the oven. For better access to food items in the oven, slowly pull the oven rack straight out to the oven rack stop position (Fig. 3) before checking on food items or removing food dishes from the oven. IMPORTANT Do not remove or attempt to arrange oven racks with cookware still on the racks. To remove - Pull the oven rack straight out until it reaches the stop position. Tilt up front of oven rack to slide past the stop position and pull the rack out of the oven cavity (Fig. 4). To replace - Rest the oven rack evenly between a left and right front guide along the oven walls so that the oven rack rests level. Tilt front of rack upward and slide rack in past the stop position.
