1.5 How to Use the Scanner Driver Automatic Size and Skew detection This option will adjust the output to the detected page size, and it will detect and auto- matically correct the skew of the document. With [Priority] slider control, you can change accuracy of Automatic Page Size Detec- tion. Move the slider to the right when improving the detection accuracy. BASIC SCANNER OPERATIONS

Automatic Size and Skew detection
This option will adjust the output to the detected page size, and it will detect and auto-
matically correct the skew of the document.
With [Priority] slider control, you can change accuracy of Automatic Page Size Detec-
tion. Move the slider to the right when improving the detection accuracy.
[Area...] button
Opens the Scan Area dialog box.
Specify scan area for the document size.
The size can be set by dragging the frame with mouse.
Otherwise, enter any value for the setting.
[JPEG...] button
Opens the JPEG Settings dialog box. Used for setting the compression rate of JPEG
transfer.
