APPENDIX Warning Failure to avoid the following potentially hazardous situations could result in an accident or collision resulting in death or serious injury. When navigating, carefully compare information displayed on the Edge to all available navigation sources, including information from visual sightings and maps. For safety, always resolve any discrepancies or questions before continuing navigation. The Edge contains a non-user replaceable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The GSC10 sensor and heart rate monitor contain a replaceable CR2032 battery. The battery may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. • Do not recharge out of the unit, disassemble, heat above 140°F (60°C), or incinerate. • Keep used battery away from children. • Dispose of used battery or unit properly. Contact your local waste disposal department for information on properly disposing of lithium-ion batteries. The Edge has no user-serviceable parts. Should you ever encounter a problem with your unit, please take it to an authorized Garmin dealer for repairs. Always consult your physician before beginning or modifying any exercise program. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, consult your physician before using a heart rate monitor. Edge™ 205/305 Owner's Manual 85
