3.7 Unit Care 3.7.1 Cleaning The case for the unit is constructed of high-quality material and does not require user maintenance other than cleaning. Clean the unit housing using a lightly-dampened cloth with a mild detergent solution and then wipe it dry. Avoid chemical cleaners and solvents that may damage plastic components. Do not apply cleaner to the electrical contacts on the unit. 3.7.2 Storage Do not store the GDL 39 where exposure to extreme temperatures may occur, as permanent damage may result. 3.8 Installation Checkout 1. Turn on each unit in the system. 2. Ensure that the GDL 39 has established a Bluetooth connection, if one is necessary. 3. Wait until the GDL 39 has established a position fix. A position fix is required for the GDL 39 to provide traffic and weather. 4.
