Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips Care and Cleaning Operating Instructions Safety Instructions Care and cleaning of the cooking center. NOTE: The oven racks may be cleaned in the self-cleaning oven. However, the racks will darken in color, lose their luster and become hard to slide if cleaned during the self-cleaning cycle. Oven Racks (lower oven) Clean the oven racks with an abrasive cleanser or steel wool. After cleaning, rinse the racks with clean water and dry with a clean cloth. To make the racks slide more easily, apply a small amount of vegetable oil or cooking oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges of the oven racks with the paper towel. Control Panel It's a good idea to wipe the control panel after each use. Clean with mild soap and water or vinegar and water, rinse with clean water and polish dry with a soft cloth. When cleaning, the control panel should be at room temperature and not in direct sunlight. Do not use abrasive cleansers, strong liquid cleansers, plastic scouring pads or oven cleaners on the control panel-they will damage the finish. A 50/50 solution of vinegar and hot water works well. 38
