7. Managing Your Phone 7.1 Phone Settings Tap Application Drawer > Settings to view and adjust the settings of your phone. The Settings menu is categorized into: Wireless controls, Call settings, Sound & display, Data synchronization, Security & location, Applications, SD card, phone storage, Date & time, Locale & test, Search, Speech synthesis, and About phone. Wireless controls Application Wi-Fi settings Bluetooth settings Mobile networks Airplane mode Description Set up and manage wireless access points. Manage connections, set device name, and discoverability of the phone. Set options for roaming, networks, and Access Point Names. Disable all wireless connections. Call settings Application Fixed Dialing Numbers Voicemail GSM call settings Description Managed fixed dialing numbers. Set voice mail number Additional GSM (only call settings). Sound & display Application Silent mode Ringer volume Media volume Phone ringtone Phone vibrate Notification ringtone Audible touch tones Audible selection SD card notifications Orientation Animation Light Sensor Brightness Description Turn silent mode on/off. All sounds except media & alarms are silenced. Adjust ringer volume for incoming calls and notifications. Set volume for music and videos. Set your default incoming call ringtone. Phone vibrates for incoming calls. Set your default notification ringtone. Enable/disable sound when using dial pad. Enable/disable sound when making screen selection. Enable/disable SD card notification sounds. Switch orientation automatically when rotating phone. Show animation when opening & closing windows. Switch LCD backlight brightness setting by manually.
