11 Statistical Operations The statistics menus in the HP 33s provide functions to statistically analyze a set of one- or two-variable data: Mean, sample and population standard deviations. Linear regression and linear estimation ( xˆ and yˆ ). Weighted mean (x weighted by y). Summation statistics: n, Σx, Σy, Σx2, Σy2, and Σxy. Entering Statistical Data One- and two-variable statistical data are entered (or deleted) in similar fashion using the (or { ) key. Data values are accumulated as summation statistics in six statistics registers (28 through 33), whose names are displayed in the SUMS menu.
