RCIP Tab The list pane of the RCIP tab displays summary information about the system's RCIP ports. The detail pane displays details about a selected RCIP port from the list pane. The following information is displayed in the list pane: Column Position MAC State IP Address Subnet Mask Gateway MTU Rate Description The location of the port in node:slot:port format. The Media Access Control (MAC) address of the connected device. The state of the port. See "System and Component Status Icons" (page 407). IP address of the RCIP port. Netmask address for the RCIP interface. The address of a local IP router on the same network as the system, used to forward traffic to destinations beyond the local network. Maximum Transmission Unit. The greatest amount of data or "packet" size that can be transferred at one time over a particular network connection without overburdening the connection. The default MTU setting for an iSCSI port is 1500. When supported by the network, an MTU value of 9000 should be used. Rate that data can be transferred over the port (1 Gbps, 2 Gbps or 4 Gbps). When there is no specified value, no connection exists. The following information is displayed in the detail pane: Group General Field Location Type Rate Connected Device Type Description The port location in Node:Slot:Port format. Indicates whether the port is FC, iSCSI, RCIP, or RCFC. Rate that data can be transferred over the port (1 Gbps, 2 Gbps or 4 Gbps). When there is no specified value, no connection exists. Type of device that the port is connected to. Free, Disk, Host, Peer, or InServ. 212 Configuring and Managing Remote Copy
