This release notes document describes the modifications and known issues for Patch 03. This is a recommended patch and is only intended to be applied to HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.278 (GA) plus Patch P01 or HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.322 (MU1). Only an authorized HP Service Provider should perform this maintenance procedure. 1.1 Supported platforms The HP 3PAR Configuration Matrix for HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 contains information about supported hardware and software platforms. For a list of supported versions of each operating system, see the Single Point of Connectivity Knowledge (SPOCK) website http://www.hp.com/storage/spock. 1.2 Verifying the patch installation The installation of Patch 03 can be verified from an Interactive CLI session. With these restarts, events and alerts may be generated and this is an expected behavior. The system will continue to serve data, but existing CLI or IMC sessions may be interrupted. 1.4 Modifications to the HP 3PAR OS The following item is addressed in this release. Issue ID 84763 Item Description startao fails with the error "too many attached databases" An issue is identified with the Adaptive Optimization (AO) feature and it results in the command terminating with the error. This occurs on systems where large amounts of region I/O density information is collected over a period of time. This issue is addressed. 1.1 Supported platforms 3
