11 Managing and displaying the FCoE configuration Enabling or disabling an FCoE port Perform the following tasks to enable or disable an FCoE port. Task Enable an FCOE port. Disable an FCOE port. Command switch:admin> fcoe --enable port switch:admin> fcoe --disable port Configuring FCMAP values for a VLAN NOTE For information on FCMAPs, see "FCoE Initialization Protocol" on page 13. If the FCMAP default value is acceptable, then it can be applied to the specified VLAN. The fcmapunset command is only necessary if the FCMAP value was previously set to a non-default value. For example, if you reset the default value to a value other than the default value, and then want to change the value again, you must enter the fcmapunset command to return the value to the default value. The fcmapunset command always returns the FCMAP to the default value. Perform the following tasks to configure FCMAP values for a VLAN. Task Configure the FCMAP values for Fabric Provided MAC Addresses (FPMA) for the specified VLANs. Syntax is as follows: • vid-Specifies the VLAN ID for which the FCMAP must be set. • fcmapid-Specifies the FCMAP to be set. Remove the FCMAP from the specified VLAN. Command switch:admin> fcoe --fcmapset -vlan vid fcmapid switch:admin> fcoe --fcmapunset -vlan vid Configuring FIP multicast advertisement intervals NOTE For information on the FCoE Initialization Protocol (FIP), see "FCoE Initialization Protocol" on page 13. Perform the following task to configure FIP multicast advertisement intervals. Task Command Configure FIP multicast advertisement intervals. Syntax is as follows: • intvl-Specifies the interval in seconds. The minimum interval value is 0 seconds and the maximum value is 300 seconds.
