Professional Plus migration Migrating from Professional Plus to Professional Plus or Enterprise 10.4.X NOTE Professional Plus full edition to Professional Plus trial edition migration is not supported. NOTE When migrating to Professional Plus or Enterprise 10.4.X, an SMI Agent only option displays in Edition Page. If you choose the SMI Agent only option during migration, you must enter a valid Enterprise license to launch the DCFM client. Use the following procedure to migrate from Professional Plus trial or full edition. The following migration paths are supported: • Professional Plus 10.3.X trial edition to Professional Plus 10.4.X trial edition • Professional Plus 10.3.X trial edition to Professional Plus 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.3.X trial edition to Enterprise 10.4.X trial edition • Professional Plus 10.3.X trial edition to Enterprise 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.3.X full edition to Professional Plus 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.3.X full edition to Enterprise 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.4.X trial edition to Professional Plus 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.4.X trial edition to Enterprise 10.4.X trial edition • Professional Plus 10.4.X trial edition to Enterprise 10.4.X full edition • Professional Plus 10.4.X full edition to Enterprise 10.4.X full edition 1. Click Next on the Welcome screen. 2. Choose one of the following options: • If data is detected on your system, one of the following screens display: A message displays. Click Yes on the message and click Next on the Partial Data Migration screen. Go to step 5. The Copy Data and Settings screen displays. To migrate data from the previous version installed (automatically detected), select Yes, from DCFM in the following location. Continue with step 3. • If data is not detected, the Copy Data and Settings screen displays. Complete the following steps. a. Select Yes, from DCFM installed in this machine or on network and click Browse to browse to the installation directory. b. Click Next on the Copy Data and Settings screen. Continue with step 3. An error message displays if any of the following occur: Error Fix Selected location is not valid or not supported. Browse to the correct location of the application. Upgrade to a supported version. 3. Click Start on the Data Migration screen. Data migration may take up to 30 minutes. 4. Click Next on the Data Migration screen.
