Install the HP NC-Series iSCSI Offload Initiator Utilities for SLES RPM package:
1.
Change to the linux\iscsi-offload directory on your hard drive and use the following command:
# rpm -ivh open-iscsi-<version>.src.rpm
2.
Build the binary RPM for the open-iSCSI initiator utility using the following commands:
# cd /usr/src/redhat
# rpmbuild -bb SPECS/open-iscsi.spec
3.
Stop the iscsid daemon using the following command:
#/etc/init.d/open-iscsi stop
4.
Check for the existence of a current version of the open-iscsi initiator utilities package using the
following command:
# rpm -q open-iscsi
If an older version of the package exists, remove the older open-iscsi initiator utilities RPM package
using the following command:
# rpm -e open-iscsi
Verify that the old package has been removed using the following command:
# rpm -q open-iscsi
5.
Install the open-iscsi binary RPM package using the following command:
# rpm -ivh RPMS/<arch>/open-iscsi-<version>.<arch>.rpm
6.
Start the open-iscsi daemon using the following command:
#/etc/init.d/open-iscsi start
