Known issues Solution 2: Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver. Issue (Internal): When the JAWS V7.0 screen reader is used to navigate through the tabs of the Printing Preferences, the tabs and screens appear incorrectly and an error occurs after the Home key is pressed. Description: Earlier versions of the JAWS screen reader might not have this issue. Solution: For more information, contact the software vendor. Issue (Internal): When the Found New Hardware wizard is used to perform a hardware-first installation, a RUN32DLL.EXE DLL initialization failure error message displays after clicking Yes to restart the computer. Description: Despite the error message appearing, the computer continues to restart. The error message occurs because the computer restart interrupts the RUN32DLL.EXE initialization. On fast computers, the RUN32DLL.EXE program immediately begins to run after Yes is clicked to restart the computer. Solution: After the computer restarts, the setup continues as expected and the software CD browser displays. Issue (Internal): With a Microsoft Publisher , HP postscript level 3 emulation driver, Windows XP, simplex, seven-page print job, nothing prints. Description: The Microsoft Publisher software generates its own postscript and no driver content. Solution 1: Use the following procedure to disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again. 1. Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties. 2. In Installable Options, select Disabled for the Postscript Passthrough: option. Solution 2: Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver. ENWW Third-party [INTERNAL] 29
